About me

Jack Janovsky is a Philadelphia-based Production Designer and Manager specializing in Theatrical Lighting Design. Growing up outside of Philadelphia, he discovered his passion for the intersection of art and technology early on, recognizing their power to create immersive storytelling experiences. With a commitment to crafting dynamic stage environments, he blends creative vision with technical artistry to bring productions to life.

At just 11 years old, Jack began stage-managing educational productions at Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley, PA—the nation’s oldest continuous repertory theater. This formative experience ignited his love and passion for lighting design.

Since then, Jack has continued to immerse himself in Philadelphia’s vibrant regional theatre scene, collaborating with professional companies and designers while gaining hands-on experience in high school, community, and regional venues. Through these experiences he has been able to refine his craft and grow as a collaborator.

At 16, Jack made his regional design debut as the Lighting Designer for the original musical, Winter Wonderland at The Media Theatre. With an ever-growing passion for storytelling, he continues to push creative boundaries.
